Ripe strawberries, fresh corn tortillas, and a perfectly ripe avocado for lunch.
Today it really is all about the simple things.
I might even be inspired to make my first chilled soup, in honor of the mighty avocado and of the rather warm weather we're having...

- Perhaps if I read Mark Bittman's How to Buy an Avocado post, all my avocados will be as above...
- Evil Chef Mom's tortilla soup recipe looks pretty damn good... even though she isn't a Texan.
- I saved this recipe for Arepas with Crab and Avocado from Mel at BitchinCamero, but never made it. Combines two of my favorites. Yum. (Also this: Chilled Fennel Soup with Crab, Avocado, and Grapefruit. Holy cow; that sounds really amazing. )
